Recovering from a Turkey Day Hangover?

For those of you who ate too much at the Thanksgiving feast, I have some great herbal formulas to help digestion. But if you cannot get into see me, I have a great suggestion.

As many of my patients can attest, I am often drinking a cup of tea when they arrive at my Chicago office.

The best teas for helping to digest a heavy meal are:

1. Hawthorn
2. Ginger
3. Peppermint

My favorite brand is Traditional Medicinals which can be found at most grocery stores.

  1. I think you told me about this a few years ago. There was one summer afternoon where my family seriously chowed on all sorts of things — brats, beers, steak, potatoes. I felt like an overstuffed penguin barely able to walk. Decided to drink some tea — the Traditional Medicinals one — and felt much, much better within 45 minutes. Others were still belching away well into the evening.
