During the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending a free screening of the movie, Escape Fire, at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine here in Chicago. This film takes a powerful look at our current healthcare system which is more expensive than most others and yet we do not get as good results as many other countries. Escape Fire also examines alternative treatments like acupuncture and shows how beneficial they are. If you are interested in the plight of our healthcare system, this is a movie you should see. The current healthcare system in the US is far too costly and Obama's new additions to it has just plunged the US into deeper debt. This movie is step in the right direction – we should definitely be looking at many more alternative low cost treatment methods.
